Description
Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine and Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program welcome you to our live Webinar series on Racial Disparity, Social Justice and the Opioid Crisis.
Black and Latinx transgender individuals face some of the greatest healthcare disparities while at the same time suffering acutely from a range of social determinants of health. The stress of daily battles with discrimination and stigma is a principal driver of higher rates of substance use in the transgender community, while a lack of culturally competent health care services also fuels high substance-use rates among transgender people.
Join us for a roundtable discussion on how organizations across Cuyahoga County are intervening to address Black and Latinx transgender health disparities.
