Surprised that CARDI*OH does not address obesity as a disease and a root cause for heart disease and diabetes. Need to work upstream to treat and manage obesity through comprehensive care in order to address heart health, diabetes, cancer, COVID, etc. https://stop.publichealth.gwu.edu/FastFacts https://obesitycareadvocacynetwork.com/campaign
Tina Bickert, GRC
58:22
Cardi-OH does great work addressing upstream factors that contribute to diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Here is one example: https://www.cardi-oh.org/capsules/12-prediabetes-and-obesity-screen-and-intervene-to-improve-patient-health

I'm glad you are bringing the climate crisis into this conversation. I heard about the steps to addressing climate as mitigation, adaptation, amelioration (using technology and other means to make a bad situation better) instead of suffering - maybe suffering is more indicative but I like the hope involved in amelioration.
