Hello Dr. Dolansky. Greetings from Costa Rica! It is a pleasure to hear from you! You will be delighted to know that last year I presented the QSEN initiative to the nursing school as a topic in our Nursing Management course. I want to learn a little more and that is why I am here today. Miss you, Hugs Ana

Are nursing specialty groups (besides AORN already mentioned) working to integrate QSEN into their practice and certification exams?
MaryAnn Dyer

Thanks Mary! I was in the PhD program in 1993 and left due to wanting to practice clinically. (Before the DNP was developed.) I always worked toward the systems approach to quality. I was employed at the Clinic and helped a regional hospital become JCAHO certified in STEMI program and Stroke program as well as teaching Emergency Nursing where I developed clinical competencies for the nursing staff.

Can you share an example of how we might be able to advocate for greater adoption of QSEN competencies into the culture of nursing care on an individual unit level
