Does the Lead Safe Resource Center have the ability to help callers who don't speak English? (i.e. Spanish, Arabic, Nepali) Thanks!
If a physician discovers a EBLL, can they/hospital contact the Resource Center to connect families to resources?
Does the Resource Center provide assistance to homeowners as well?
Thank you Wyonette and Chantal for your comprehensive, upstream approaches to this lead safe / prevention effort in Cleveland! You are positively impacting the lives of so many children and families!
@Loren Anthes: We will automatically refer them to CDPH, as all EBLL’s will go through them. However, there is a parent-focused groups that refer if the team determine they are interested.
What work is being done (if any) to address providers who are low on testing kids for lead poisoning?
@Cheryl Clellen Yes, homeowners can go through any of the workforce trainings as well as learn about the certification process or be navigated to potential loan and grant resources through CHN housing partners.
@Rhorwitz Thank you so much! We are happy to serve Cleveland in this fashion!
@Annie Slota We are able to provide full support in Spanish and have established or are developing connections for expanding those language fluencies for the call center.
This is incredible improvement! KUDOS to Matt Tien and the MetroHealth Team!
This is incredible!
Finger stick blood tests for children are not mentioned, I hear 'blood drawn', is it easier to finger stick, or is that not reliable?
Thank you Dr. Tien for your leadership on this important project!
