Navigaating the DNP Project Roadmap in Practice: Building the Academic Practice Partnerships (Part 2) - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Outside of the Letter of Intent/Scholarly Project Application is there a larger academic paper that is written with background/significance; needs assessment; theoretical framework; aims/objectives; clinical question; theoretical framework; review of literature…
Hi Tracy - no the LOI and SPA serve as the project proposal for the health system as well as for SHU
Thank you Kerry. Would you be willing to share templates/samples of those LOI/SPA?
Absolutely and I’ll send you the NSRC handbook
Great. That’d be very helpful.
Are there opportunities or benefits for DNP students to join an already existing team?
Mary, we frequently help students connect with existing projects.
We will be posting both presentations and slides on the QSEN website. We will send you an email next week with a link.
Are the students encouraged to look at the cost or ROI on their studies?
Do you have thoughts on whether projects should be about gaining a general skillset of EBP and therefore be focused on any topic versus a skill set but focused on an area that will impact the student as an APN/nurse executives and really be a foundation for future scholarship (ie: implementing bedside report may be a great project, but as an FNP in the community, that student may never do bedside report again, so is the project really providing a foundation for that future scholarship
Wouldn't it be great if we could quantify the cost savings of DNP projects and improvement of outcomes across the country!
We also have a contact list slide at the end of the slide deck you'll have access to as well.
Thank you all for your participation! It is wonderful to hear about how we can graduate DNPs who lead quality and safety!
